Syrian President Bashar Assad met today, Tuesday, with UN Relief Coordinator Martin Griffith to discuss ways to assist Syria in recovering from the effects of the earthquake that occurred last month, and to create suitable conditions for the return of refugees, according to the Syrian presidency. According to the presidency, Assad and Griffith discussed "the practical steps and measures that could have a direct impact and results on the recovery path from the repercussions caused by the earthquake disaster across various sectors, while also contributing to ensuring the appropriate conditions for the return of more Syrian refugees to their cities and villages."
