Federer: I Hope to Play My Last Match Alongside Nadal

Swiss tennis star Roger Federer expressed his hope to "play his final match before retirement alongside his rival Spanish Rafael Nadal at the Laver Cup next Friday." Federer stated during a press conference in London on Wednesday, "It’s an event I didn't want to spoil, but at the same time, I know my limits, and I asked Björn Borg (captain of the European team) if it would be possible to only play in the doubles match, and that will happen on Friday evening." He added, "I am preparing to play in the doubles match; we will know later who my partner is. Naturally, I feel some tension since I haven't played in a long time, and I hope to be competitive after being away from the court for two months due to undergoing two knee surgeries." While the identity of his doubles partner has not yet been announced, all tennis fans are dreaming of him playing alongside Nadal.
