Russian Foreign Ministry: Moscow Will Not Be the First to Conduct Nuclear Tests

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov emphasized that Russia will not be the party to initiate nuclear testing, following Moscow's suspension of the New START treaty on nuclear arms with the United States. In his speech at a disarmament conference in Geneva, Ryabkov stated that Moscow would not conduct tests if Washington refrains from doing so, but he added that Russia must still prepare for the worst.
