Russian company Lukoil, the second largest oil producer in Russia, intends to produce 250,000 barrels per day from the Arido oil field in Iraq after receiving regulatory approval. It added that it and Japan's Inpex Corporation have obtained approval from the state-owned Thi Qar Oil Company to announce the commercial viability of the reserves and their proposal to develop the oil field.
