During a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in the caretaker government Abdullah Bou Habib and UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed in his office at the ministry, they discussed negotiations with the International Monetary Fund, the status of official administrations amid the economic and social crisis, the decline in salaries in the public sector, and the challenges facing the educational sector. They also addressed the Syrian refugee crisis and its economic and social repercussions on Lebanon. Furthermore, caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati welcomed Amina Mohammed at the Grand Serail. Amina Mohammed's visit is part of a special mission assigned by the UN Secretary-General to discuss with the Lebanese government the development programs funded by the UN and the impact of the geopolitical reality in the region on UN aid programs.
