Earthquake Strikes Country in Southwest Pacific!

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported today, Tuesday, that a 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck East Papua New Guinea, a country located in the eastern half of the island of Papua in the Southwest Pacific. The center stated that the earthquake occurred 448 kilometers northwest of the capital, Port Moresby, at a depth of 200 kilometers. There have been no immediate reports of casualties or damage resulting from the earthquake.
