The President of the Consumer Association, Zahir Bro, revealed a new scandal involving the mixing of "gypsum" with labneh. He stated in an interview with "Voice of Lebanon": "Mixing gypsum with labneh is aimed at achieving profits. All laws that are in the interest of consumers have not had their regulatory laws issued, hence the problem persists." He added: "We advise citizens to buy well-known brands that carry the ISO 22 mark."
