Increase in Tourism Revenues in Turkey by 32.3%

Data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, released on Friday, shows that "tourism revenues increased by 32.3 percent to $8.69 billion in the first quarter, maintaining the strong trend that resumed last year despite the devastating earthquakes that struck the south of the country in February." In 2022, revenues rose by 53.4 percent compared to the previous year, reaching a record level of $46.28 billion as the COVID-19 pandemic subsided.
