Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that President Vladimir Putin instructed the formation of a government commission following an incident at the Crimea bridge. Ukrainian media reported that a large explosion occurred at the "Kerch" bridge connecting the Crimean Peninsula to Russian territory. Russian media clarified that a fire broke out in a fuel tank at the "Kerch" bridge. The Russian news agency "Sputnik" reported that the passage of cars and trains on the bridge, which links the Krasnodar region to the Crimean Peninsula, has been suspended. The agency quoted local authorities stating that the fire was caused by the ignition of a fuel tank on one of the high-speed train locomotives heading towards the Crimean Peninsula. Specialists are currently inspecting the bridge where the fire occurred, according to Oleg Kryuchkov, advisor to the head of the Crimean Peninsula.
