On Saturday evening, the first direct commercial flight between Sana'a and Saudi Arabia took off since the closure of the capital's airport, controlled by the Houthis, in 2016. The plane, belonging to Yemenia Airways, carries 277 Yemeni pilgrims to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This is the first commercial flight between Sana'a and the Kingdom since 2016.
