The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported that a quake with a magnitude of 6.6 struck the Kermadec Islands in New Zealand today, Saturday. The centre added that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 183 kilometers. The U.S. tsunami warning system noted that no tsunami alerts were issued following the earthquake.
