Engineers in the "National Democratic Gathering in Lebanon" have called for the approval of a "pension that befits retired engineers in accordance with a decent living standard, as stipulated by the pension fund law, taking into account all the sacrifices made in paying our contributions for more than thirty years. They reminded that their pension before the economic collapse was equivalent to $900, and this amount will remain their goal in principle."
They urged for "exemption of the retired engineer and their family from healthcare fees or the payment of a symbolic fee with installment options to maintain health security and necessary coverage, and the recovery of insurance fees from the past year." They emphasized that "health insurance should be covered by the social benefits fund and paid in installments."
