The Sudanese army stated in a statement today, Friday, that it has sent a delegation to the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to engage in talks regarding a ceasefire in the country as part of a joint Saudi-American initiative. The delegation traveled to Jeddah after the conflicting parties in Sudan discussed a ceasefire for humanitarian purposes without entering into negotiations to end the conflict.
