Emirates Airlines and Etihad Airways announced today, Thursday, that they have "signed a memorandum of understanding to expand their interline agreement aimed at enhancing tourism to the United Arab Emirates, initially focusing on flights from Europe and China." Emirates Airlines noted in a statement that "customers of both companies will be able, starting this summer, to purchase a single ticket for entry into Dubai or Abu Dhabi and return through the other airport." Emirates President Tim Clark confirmed that "this new agreement provides a strong foundation for developing further opportunities between the two companies and serves as an example of our commitment to the UAE's vision for ongoing economic diversification."
