Lebanon's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in the caretaker government, Abdallah Bou Habib, discussed with a delegation from the Council of Europe, led by the Coordinator for Neighborhood Policy with the South Mediterranean, ways of cooperation, particularly in terms of human rights and issues related to human trafficking. The Council of Europe will begin a workshop tomorrow, Thursday, on monitoring and identifying victims of human trafficking at the Movenpick Hotel in Beirut, lasting for two days. Bou Habib praised the role of UNIFIL in maintaining peace and security in southern Lebanon during a meeting with UNIFIL Commander General Aruldo Lazaro to discuss the work of international peacekeeping forces and cooperation between Lebanese authorities and the United Nations.
