Joint Military Exercises Between the U.S. and South Korea

The South Korean Ministry of Defense confirmed today that its forces will conduct their largest live-fire drills with U.S. forces in June, in response to North Korea, which has increased tensions following the launch of multiple missiles.

In a statement, the ministry emphasized achieving peace through reliance on its strategic deterrence capabilities and a strong joint defensive posture amid escalating nuclear and missile threats from North Korea, affirming the enormous military capabilities of the joint forces in their exercises.

It is noteworthy that North Korea recently launched an intercontinental ballistic missile and conducted a simulation of a nuclear counterattack on the United States and South Korea.
