Pope Francis expressed his conviction that Jerusalem is in dire need of peace, away from any partisanship or factionalism. According to Vatican Radio, the Pope welcomed participants of the joint working group for interreligious dialogue and the Palestinian Dialogue Committee at the Vatican's apostolic palace today, Thursday. On this occasion, the Pope recalled what he declared in 2019 with the King of Morocco, namely the call to consider Jerusalem "a shared heritage of humanity, especially for the followers of the three Abrahamic religions, as a place of meeting and a symbol of peaceful coexistence."
