The "Novosti" agency reported that Voznesensky, who is also a professor in the infectious diseases department at the Friendship University, stated, "Theoretically, other strains may emerge that could replace Omicron, and this cannot be excluded, although the probability is low." He explained that if the virus continues to evolve only in its current form "Omicron," the chance of a resurgence of the virus and illness is extremely low.
