The Sulaymaniyah Airport Authority in Iraq announced that an explosion occurred near the outer wall of the airport on Friday evening, without resulting in any injuries. In a statement, they noted that there were no casualties, adding that "the explosion caused a fire, and civil defense teams at the airport immediately responded and controlled the fire."
The authority further stated that "security forces are currently investigating the incident and will release more information later," emphasizing that "there are no problems at the airport, and flight operations are proceeding as usual."
