Car Explosion Near Official Building in Qamishli

A car bomb exploded near an official building on al-Qutli Street in the city of Qamishli, northeastern Syria. The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that "an explosive device planted in a van exploded inside the wall of Al-Arouba School on al-Qutli Street in Qamishli, which has been seized by the (SDF) militia and turned into a headquarters for the so-called (Education Authority), resulting in an unknown number of injuries among the militia's armed personnel and significant damage inside the headquarters." The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights indicated that "a vehicle designated for transporting employees of the Education Authority in the self-administration exploded," adding that "the explosion was due to a large explosive device near the Ministry's building on al-Qutli Street in Qamishli, with no information on the fate of those inside."
