"Bloomberg": Washington Plans to Deploy 100 Boats in the Gulf to Counter Iran

Bloomberg reported today, Saturday, that the United States plans to deploy an additional 100 unmanned boats in the Gulf to patrol against Iran. It noted that the U.S. is trying to convince its allies in the Middle East to increase the number of these automated boats around the Arabian Peninsula to better detect Iranian threats, in a move aimed at protecting vital waterways for global trade and oil commerce. In this regard, U.S. Naval Forces and Coalition Forces spokesman in Bahrain, Tim Hawkins, stated that so far, only Bahrain and Kuwait have announced plans to purchase this type of boats.
