The police in the German city of Hamburg warned residents on Sunday of a possible presence of toxic substances in the air following a fire at a storage facility. A police spokesperson stated that around 140 people had been evacuated from a nearby area, and a cloud of smoke was moving towards the city center, indicating that the color of the sky had darkened as a result. However, weather conditions made it difficult to distinguish between smoke and clouds.
Authorities reported that the fire broke out in Rothenburgsort, located a few kilometers southeast of Hamburg.
