A spokesperson for the courts in Sfax, Fawzi Masmoudi, announced that "at least 20 African migrants are missing today, Saturday, after their boat capsized off the Tunisian city of Sfax while attempting to cross the Mediterranean Sea to Italy." He mentioned in a conversation with Reuters that "coast guard forces rescued 17 other people who were on the same boat off Sfax in the south of the country, including two in critical condition."
