The first batch of British civilians evacuated from Sudan arrived on the island of Cyprus today, Tuesday. Britain transported this group by air after both warring factions in Sudan agreed to a 72-hour ceasefire. A spokesperson for the Cyprus Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that "a passenger plane carrying about 40 civilians landed at Larnaca Airport."
