The "Dow Jones" Industrial and "S&P 500" indices opened higher on Monday, led by "PacWest" shares boosting regional bank stocks, ahead of inflation data set to be released this week. The "Dow Jones" Industrial rose 40.77 points, or 0.12%, to 33,715.15 points. The "S&P 500" index increased by 0.73 points or 0.02% to 4,136.98 points.
