Jordan: Special Equipment Used to Transfer 400-Kilogram Patient to Hospital

A specialized team from the Civil Defense in Zarqa, Jordan, consisting of 20 members, successfully transported a thirty-year-old woman weighing around 400 kilograms from her home, where she had not seen daylight for 16 years. Colonel Mohammed Khreisat, the director of the Civil Defense in Zarqa, stated that the woman was evacuated from a second-floor apartment to a hospital in the capital, Amman, to continue treatment for her obesity. Khreisat added, in a statement on Wednesday via the Public Security Radio, that special equipment was used to safely remove her from her home due to her weight, following a comprehensive plan and assessment of the house. For her part, the woman expressed her happiness at being able to leave the home she had not exited during her prolonged suffering over the years.
