Turkish Finance Minister: Priority on a Trustworthy Economic Program

Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek pointed out today, Wednesday, that his current priority is to strengthen his team and establish a reliable economic program. He reaffirmed his commitment to implementing policies based on established rules. In his first statements since taking the oath, Simsek tweeted that "there are no shortcuts or quick fixes." He added that the guiding principles for the economy will be transparency, consistency, and accountability.
