Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin revealed today that Russia "remains unhappy" with how its agricultural export issues are being addressed within the framework of the Ukrainian grain export agreement via the Black Sea. This statement follows recent discussions with a senior UN official. He stated, "We are still dissatisfied with the progress made. This is very important to us." According to TASS news agency, Vershinin made these remarks after talks in Moscow with Rebecca Grynspan, the head of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. The Kremlin also stated today that President Vladimir Putin "has not yet responded" to the proposals of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on how to extend and improve the agreement that allows for the safe export of Ukrainian grain via the Black Sea.
