Title: Minister Requests Suspension of "Bolt" App

Interior and Municipalities Minister Bassam Mawlawi sent a letter to the Ministry of Communications requesting the suspension of the "Bolt" app effective today, Monday, "until it is confirmed that there are no violations of traffic laws and other applicable regulations." This follows an increase in complaints from public taxi unions and protests that occurred in various Lebanese areas last week. Mawlawi also instructed the Internal Security Forces to intensify the pursuit of drivers operating with fake public license plates or using private plates for public transport.
