The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced that "following the circulation of a video by media showing the shooting at migratory birds in Akkar using military and hunting weapons, which resulted in the death of a large number of birds and injuries among citizens. After several foreign and Arab media outlets addressed this unethical and uncivilized act, the Internal Security Forces initiated their inquiries and investigations to uncover the identities of the perpetrators. Members of the Al-Aryda police station in the regional gendarmerie were able to arrest three individuals who were shooting. An investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the competent judiciary, and efforts continue to apprehend the remaining shooters."
