Syria Announces the Reopening of Its Embassy in Tunisia

Syria and Tunisia highlighted in a joint statement that "in response to the initiative of the Tunisian President Kais Saied to appoint an ambassador to the Syrian Arab Republic, the Syrian government announced its immediate approval of this appointment and decided to reopen the Syrian embassy in Tunisia, appointing an ambassador to head it in the near future." The statement added: "Out of both sides' commitment to restoring Syrian-Tunisian relations to their normal course, consultations and coordination between the foreign ministers of both countries continue, reinforcing the long-standing brotherly ties between Syria and Tunisia, elevating the values of solidarity and cooperation between them, and serving the good and interests of their fraternal peoples."
