Al-Ansar Defeats Al-Shabab Al-Ghazieh with Difficulty and Temporarily Takes the Lead

Al-Ansar team has temporarily taken the lead in the Lebanese football league standings after winning against their guests, Al-Shabab Al-Ghazieh, with a score of 2-1 in a match held this afternoon on Friday at the Amin Abdul Nour Municipal Stadium in Bhamdoun, coinciding with the start of the fourth round. Al-Ansar's striker, Senegalese Haj Malik Tal, opened the scoring in the 18th minute, and Gazzi Hneineh extended the lead with a decisive cross from Nassar Nassar in the 65th minute. Al-Ghazieh's Imad Ghadar reduced the gap in the 70th minute.

This victory is Al-Ansar's third, raising their points total to 10, placing them temporarily in first place, just one point ahead of Al-Borj. Al-Borj can reclaim the top spot when they face Al-Safaa at 3:30 PM on Sunday at the Fouad Chehab Stadium in Jounieh. Meanwhile, Al-Ghazieh suffered their second consecutive defeat, remaining stable at 2 points.

The Tripoli team is set to host Al-Hikma at 3:30 PM on Saturday, while a significant match between Al-Najma and Al-Sahil will take place at 4 PM the same day in Jounieh. At the same time on Sunday, Al-Tadamon will host Al-Ikhaa Al-Ahli Aley, who sits at the bottom of the standings with no points, in Tyre, and defending champions Al-Ahed will visit Salam Zgharta in the Mardashiya region.
