The Iranian ambassador to Doha, Hamid Dehghani, announced that "Qatari authorities have released 17 Iranian citizens who were detained for mistakenly violating Qatari territorial waters." Dehghani stated on his Twitter account that "the authorities also released their seized boats, and those released headed to Iran with their boats."
