Turkey Moves Embassy from Khartoum to Port Sudan

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu announced today, Saturday, that Turkey will move its embassy from Khartoum to Port Sudan following gunfire directed at the Turkish ambassador's car. Çavuşoğlu stated to journalists in the city of Antalya, southern Turkey, "Upon the recommendation of the transitional government and the Sudanese army, we decided to temporarily relocate our embassy to Port Sudan for security reasons." A Turkish diplomatic source revealed earlier today that the Turkish ambassador's car in Sudan was shot at by unknown assailants, but no one was injured.
