Saudi Al-Nassr Club announced this Tuesday evening that it has officially signed former Real Madrid legend Fernando Hierro as the club's sporting director. Hierro will be the primary person responsible for football across all categories and will also be tasked with selecting coaching staff and coordinating with Portuguese coach Luis Castro regarding negotiations for foreign players the club wishes to sign during the summer transfer window. Reports confirmed that the choice of the former Spanish international was made by Italian CEO Guido Venga and Portuguese captain Cristiano Ronaldo. Hierro previously served as the sporting director for the Spanish national team from November 2017 to July 2018, and he also led the national team as head coach during the World Cup in Russia.
