Miqati's Statement on Military and Security Promotions

The media office of caretaker Prime Minister Najib Miqati issued the following statement: "In clarification of what is being circulated regarding statements attributed to the Prime Minister concerning the decree on military and security promotions, which are sometimes attributed to the Prime Minister's circles and other times to informed circles, we inform that the Prime Minister's position on the matter will be issued after consulting with the concerned parties to ensure the desired benefits for the military sectors. Everything said otherwise is mere speculation, leaks, or hopes that some are trying to impose on the Prime Minister's position. Thus, this clarification was necessary."
