Former Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi in Intensive Care

A political source confirmed to Reuters today, Wednesday, that former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is in intensive care at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan. The hospital has not yet responded to a request for comment. The Italian news agency (AGI) reported that Berlusconi is in the cardiac intensive care unit. Berlusconi (86 years old) underwent major heart surgery in 2016 and is also suffering from prostate cancer. He has been hospitalized several times over the past few years after contracting COVID-19 in 2020.
