Canada Imposes Sanctions on Iranian Judges

The Canadian government announced today, Monday, the imposition of sanctions on Iranian judges due to alleged human rights violations. It added that "this step will prevent dealing with them and freeze any assets owned by them in Canada." The Canadian government stated in a press release that "today's sanctions include seven individuals for their roles in horrific and systemic human rights violations in the Iranian criminal justice system, particularly the Iranian revolutionary courts."
