Six people were killed and dozens more were injured when a train collided with a public bus on Thursday, between 7 and 8 AM local time, in Lagos, a commercial hub in Nigeria. Lagos state emergency services reported in a statement that the incident happened at a bus station on the Ikegun Axis in Lagos, which has a population of about 20 million residents. Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu revealed at the state hospital that "two people died on the spot, while four others succumbed to their injuries in the hospital. Twenty-five people received medical care and were taken to Gbagada General Hospital, Ajegunle General Hospital, and the Trauma Center Emergency Department at the tollgate."
