U.S. Sanctions on Chinese Network Supporting Iran

The United States has imposed sanctions on a China-based network accused of shipping aircraft parts to an Iranian company involved in the production of drones that Tehran has used to attack oil tankers and has exported to Russia. The network is reported to be responsible for selling and shipping thousands of aircraft components, including those that can be used in drones, to the Iranian aircraft manufacturing company.

Additionally, it stated that the company is involved in the production of Shahed-136 drones, which Iran has used to attack oil tankers and has exported to Russia.

The Iranian mission to the United Nations in New York and the Chinese embassy in Washington have not yet responded to requests for comment.
