Saudi Assistance for Lebanon?... "It's Too Early"

Government sources clarified that the meeting between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati "lasted for more than half an hour and was good, and it is the result of intensive communications that began some time ago and was not requested by French President Emmanuel Macron." The sources, in a statement to MTV, indicated that "the meeting closed the old chapter and opened a new one between Mikati and Saudi Arabia." In response to whether there would be financial assistance from Saudi Arabia to Lebanon, the sources stated that "it's too early for that." They added, "What is most important for Mikati, alongside electing a president for the republic, is working on financial assistance for Lebanon to improve its economic situation."
