Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced today, Tuesday, a 45% increase in government workers' wages, effective from July. This statement was made during a speech at the presidential complex in the capital, Ankara, with the participation of the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Bilgin, and heads of labor unions. Erdogan stated that with this increase, the minimum salary for government workers will rise to 15,000 Turkish lira (approximately $768).
