Recovery of U.S. Factory Orders Driven by Civilian Aircraft

New orders for American-made goods rebounded in March, supported by a surge in demand for civilian aircraft. However, the manufacturing sector in general continued to struggle under the burden of rising interest rates. The Commerce Department noted today, Tuesday, that factory orders increased by 0.9% after a decline of 1.1% in February.
