Finland Expels 9 Russian Diplomats

The office of Finnish President Sauli Niinistö stated today, Tuesday, that "Finland will expel nine diplomats working at the Russian embassy in Helsinki," accusing them of engaging in espionage activities. The president's office added in a statement: "Their actions contradict the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations," and that the Russian ambassador will be informed of the decision to expel the diplomats. The decision was made during a meeting between the president and the country's Foreign and Security Policy Ministerial Committee.
