Hezbollah's Deputy Secretary-General: The Resistance Axis is Awake

Hezbollah's Deputy Secretary-General, Naeem Qassem, announced that "the Resistance Axis is awake" following cross-border shelling with Israel on Thursday. In a tweet, he suggested that the threats and bluster of Israeli leaders would be ineffective saying, "The balance of deterrence is present and alive, and the Palestinian fighters are in the field," asserting that "Israel's defeats are accumulating and victory is coming, God willing." The Israeli army struck targets in Lebanon and Gaza early Friday morning after rocket attacks it blamed on the Palestinian Hamas movement.
