South Africa Investigates U.S. Allegations

The presidency of South Africa stated on Sunday that President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed a committee to investigate U.S. allegations that a Russian ship collected weapons from a naval base near Cape Town last year. The statement said, "The president decided to open the investigation due to the seriousness of the allegations, public interest, and the impact of this issue on South Africa's international relations."
