The developers of the "Twitter" application have indicated that the app will receive new features to compete with platforms like YouTube and TikTok. According to several websites, "Twitter" has started testing a new feature for displaying videos, which will allow users to view video clips and also edit videos to use short segments in their tweets. This will make discovering content on the platform more enjoyable and beneficial.
With the new feature, users will be able to watch videos inside tweets in a small size or view them in "full screen" mode by clicking the "expand video" button. They will also be able to scroll through to see more videos by swiping up on their phone or tablet screen. The "Twitter" app is expected to showcase numerous video clips to users in the "Explore" tab and will provide a feature that displays videos to users based on their interests within the "Videos for you" list.
Additionally, some websites noted that "Twitter" will also include extra features to help users know the time and date of the "last edit" made to the posts they see.
