Information from "Nidaa Al Watan" indicated that Prince Yazid bin Farhan's unexpected visit to Lebanon is largely related to the Syrian issue. He held a meeting with President Aoun, discussing the general situation and the Syrian situation in particular. The prince informed the president about the Saudi plan to move forward in Syria and the necessity of Lebanon's assistance in this matter, through controlling its borders and addressing complex issues. In addition to the Syrian file, Lebanese-Saudi relations and the follow-up of Aoun's visit to Riyadh were discussed, and the internal situation was reviewed. The Saudi envoy emphasized the importance of reform steps and the need for Lebanon to complete and adhere to its commitments.
Another meeting gathered Bin Farhan with the National Moderation Bloc. "Nidaa Al Watan" learned that during the meeting, Bin Farhan focused on the Syrian issue and explained the priority of this file to the deputies.
He also touched on the internal situation, considering that President Aoun is on a difficult mission but has proven that he will succeed despite the heavy files. Regarding President Salam's visit to the Kingdom, Bin Farhan confirmed that it is a message to Lebanon and the Sunni community that their status is preserved. He expressed optimism regarding the issue of collecting illegal weapons and completing reforms, thus considering that when Lebanon fulfills its commitments, it will receive support. Furthermore, he emphasized that attention will be given to the situation in the north to alleviate deprivation and develop deprived areas.
