Cypriot President and Mikati Emphasize the Depth of Bilateral Relations

Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides reiterated during his meeting with caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia, his support for Lebanon within the European Union in all areas. He highlighted the Lebanese presence in Cyprus and the role of Lebanese people in developmental fields, and confirmed support for the "Lebanese position in addressing the issue of Syrian displacement to ensure stability in Lebanon." For his part, Mikati stated, "We are close countries with many common denominators, and there are numerous areas for cooperation in tourism, services, and development." The meeting emphasized the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries.
