The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants announced that Lebanon's permanent mission to the United Nations in New York has informed it of the restoration of Lebanon's voting rights at the UN through an official notification. The ministry clarified in a statement that the decision came after "the mission settled, based on recent financial transfers received in its account, the annual contributions due for the years 2022 and 2023." It noted that Lebanon has thus returned to playing its natural role and presence in the works and discussions of the United Nations and its specialized committees.
